To make your hand-lettering look good in vectors requires a certain procedure that is essential for succeeding in your endeavour. In this one day session you will be introduced to techniques for digitising letterforms.
This workshop is ideal for beginners and for those with previous experience who want to improve their techniques to draw type and lettering with their computers.
Prerequisites: For taking part of this workshop it is necessary that you already have a handmade design that you’d like to take into vectors (sketch). You need to bring your own laptop with Adobe Illustrator installed. Printers and scanners are available in the place.
What you’ll learn: You will walk away from this workshop with practical tools to work digitally with letterforms and tips and shortcuts to solve specific problems. No secrets will be kept!
The workshop will be documented at Good Type site and participants will get an official diploma. The session will be held by designer and letterer Martina Flor on the 8th of March 2013 from 12.30 to 18.30 hs. (with a coffee break in between) at Betahaus Berlin. Good Type Alumni have priority and special discount on this course and it is limited to the first 12 applicants.
